Why everyone wants to live in Dubai or Istanbul? My heart is tired. Salam my friends. I am writing this from my small apartment in the city center. Outside is so much noise and traffic is like a monster that never sleeps. I pay half my salary just for the rent and the electricity. Everything here is expensive. Even a cup of coffee is like a meal in my village. Before, people lived in small towns and they were happy with simple things. They had fresh air and they knew all their neighbors. Now, young people from Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey, they all run to the big city because they want the shiny life they see on the phone. But in the city, nobody says hello to you in the elevator. We are living together like sardines in a tin but we are very lonely. Do you think the big city life is worth all this stress and money? Or is it better to have a simple house in the nature and less money but more peace? I am thinking to go back to my village next year. coffeelove Salam brothers and sisters. Today I am sitting in a very famous international coffee shop in Istanbul. I look around and I feel a bit sad in my heart. Everyone is sitting with his laptop or their expensive phone. Nobody is talking. In old days, a coffee house was full for loud voices, for playing backgammon, news about neighborhood. Now, if you speak a little bit loud, people look at you like you a criminal. We are losing our social soul for high speed internet and fancy plastic cups. My grandfather used to say that coffee without conversation is like a body without a soul. I think the modern world is making us very lonely even if we are sitting in a crowded room.
